Ucsf Department of Laboratory Medicine Phlebotomy Continuing Education Hours
Lab tests are crucial in the diagnosing, treating and monitoring of illnesses. In fact, most health care decisions are based on the results of blood tests, urine tests and examination of other body fluids and tissues. Lab Services at UCSF provides the full array of specialized diagnostic tests, both on-site in our hospitals and at convenient community locations. All told, we perform more than 4.2 million such tests a year. Our staff are highly skilled at collecting specimens from infants and children, and our phlebotomists use microtechniques to minimize the amount of blood drawn. You can be confident that our team will work with you to meet the particular needs of your child.
